M.I.P. Security is a world leader in security consulting and training. Our staff have decades of experience in protecting people and facilities and in managing security design and upgrade projects. We have built on our unique combination of engineering, security and military expertise, to provide a training program dedicated to all those who are responsible for security.
Our program is tailored to the levels of responsibility in your organization.
- For managers, we offer a basic day “Holistic Approach to Security” seminar covering the principles of risk and threat analysis and red teaming as methodologies for assessing and upgrading security preparedness.
- For security planners and law enforcement personnel, we offer an intermediate week “Introduction to Physical Security” course to provide an in-depth review of current threats, to describe the consequences of them being carried out, and to teach and practice the methodologies for determining and prioritizing vulnerabilities and solutions.
- For field officers, security professionals and law enforcement personnel who wish to gain the skills and knowledge to plan and analyze their own security projects, we offer an in-depth 10 month “Advanced Physical Security” course which combines classroom and practical assignments and is focused on real challenges faced by the participants in their region.

A Holistic Approach to Security
AUDIENCE
Security Officers, Facility Managers and Managers with Security Responsibility
OBJECTIVE
To master the concepts of analysis, design and creation of an integrated security program for upgrading a facility’s security.
LENGTH: 1 Day
Too often, security officers make decisions on where to allocate financial or human resources based on separate analyses of buildings, people and technology. Too often, such decisions are made without a clear understanding of the vulnerabilities of the buildings and facilities under their charge.
This full day seminar provides a detailed review of today’s threats and how they affect your assessment and operational methods. It will provide tools and methodologies for understanding threats, risks and vulnerabilities and for taking an holistic approach to security by building an integrated view of the physical, technological and human aspects of security.
Through risk and threat analysis studies and red teaming exercises, you will be better able to determine and prioritize your security needs and align them with the perceived threats and the available budget. Extensive use of case studies will enable the appreciation of these concepts through real world examples. Furthermore, the unique experiences of M.I.P. Security personnel in a variety of threat incidents and projects around the globe will be discussed.
The following subjects will be covered in the seminar:
Threats & Risks | A review of the variety of threats and the impact they have on assets. The risks (consequences) resulting from a terrorist attack will be introduced with an emphasis on blast.
Methodology | An introduction and explanation of Threat and Risk Analysis and Red Teaming.
Building Domain | An introduction to the principles of construction and physical building elements and their behavior during a blast.
Technology Domain | A description of security technology and common problems in their deployment and operation.
Human Domain | A review of techniques for deployment of security guards and procedures.
The Integrated System | An introduction to the concept of a holistic security program containing all domains.
Red Teaming | A method for checking for assessing preparedness and measuring the effectiveness of your security investment.
Current Concepts in Security Planning
AUDIENCE
Security Officers, Facility Managers and Security Planning Personnel
OBJECTIVE
To provide guidelines for assessing security preparedness and to master the concepts of analysis, design and creation of an integrated program for upgrading a facility’s security.
LENGTH: 5 Days
This in-depth course will provide a detailed look at threats and their consequences. It will discuss risk and threat analysis as a tool for identifying and prioritizing vulnerabilities and red teaming as a method for checking preparedness of the facility and its security team and systems.
The course includes an introduction to the physical, technological and human aspects of security and discusses common challenges and solutions in each of those domains whilst taking into consideration their inter-dependence. This holistic approach to security planning will be central to the course and will guide the participants throughout the week.
During the course, students will be expected to spend time in the field to gather data for a risk and threat analysis practical. This exercise will be used to complement the classroom based learning and provide a tangible output for the week.
By the end of the course, participants will be able to:
- Conduct a basic threat and risk assessment and confidently present results to decision makers.
- Identify priorities in a protection program.
- Build an integrated security program considering buildings, security systems and personnel.
- Present and discuss protection issues in a professional manner with consultants or engineers.
There is an option for this course to be held in Israel where course attendees will be invited to observe live explosive testing and will extend their case study work by visiting sites of terrorist attacks.
The following subjects will be covered in the seminar:
- Construction methods and materials
- Threats, weapons and their utilization.
- Understanding and determining the risks to people and structures
- Case studies of past attacks
- Methodology for risk & threat analysis (+ practical)
- Methodology for red teaming
Advanced Physical Security
AUDIENCE
Field Officers, Security Managers, Police, Heads of Security and Facility Managers
OBJECTIVE
To teach the skills required to undertake multi-site, community wide, physical security projects including budgeting and prioritization.
LENGTH: 3 - 5 weeks classroom + practical assignments
M.I.P. Security offers governments, police forces and private companies the ability to manage risk and mitigate threats through structured analysis and implementation of cost-effective physical security solutions. Our Advanced Physical Security Program, which trains key personnel in our methodology and techniques, has made a significant contribution to mitigating threats across cities, states and countries across the world.
The Program provides a comprehensive understanding of all aspects of risk management through physical security.
Subjects covered include threat and risks analysis for a variety of asset types, construction techniques, blast dynamics, mitigation technology and techniques, vulnerability analysis and tools for budgeting and planning multi-site projects.
The Program integrates real-life challenges and the participants complete a relatively large number of analysis projects under the supervision of the trainers. The assignments provide practical, value-added outputs in the form of usable plans, reports and data.
The Program teaches an empirical process which takes an holistic approach to analyzing threats, risks and vulnerabilities and provides tools for designing cost-effective physical and operational solutions to multi-site security challenges.
The program is custom designed for each group but is typically spread over 10 months and includes 5 on-site week-long training sessions with 8 weeks of practical assignment between each training session. During these assignments, M.I.P. Security staff supports and monitors the participants' projects.
